Dementia is prevalent. As a result, our video sessions aimed to raise more dementia awareness not only in the UK but around the world.
The prevalence of dementia in the UK population is steadily rising, and it is well known that dementia and age have a positive correlation. The number of people from BAME communities in the UK has also increased in recent years. It is necessary to mention that we will eventually see an increase in the number of elderly people from BAME communities developing dementia.
As a result, “Dementia Awareness Video Sessions” intended to use short videos and interactions to emphasise the importance of early dementia diagnosis, what to look for, and how to seek help as soon as possible. The events took place on,
