MESSAGE OF HOPE

As the year comes to a close, the DECEW team would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped the organisation during these difficult times, particularly during the pandemic. We are grateful for your unwavering support and look forward to continuing it in the coming year. We want to break down more barriers and reach out to more people, particularly those from black minority ethnic communities.

We understand how caring affects those who care for loved ones with dementia. We also recognise the challenges that those living with the condition face, and as a result, DECEW will make every effort to support families of people diagnosed with dementia, and we would like to invite you to our next event, which will be a continuation of the previous one, titled “caring for carers of people living with dementia“.

The message is one of HOPE. DECEW wishes to provide hope to those living with dementia as well as those who care for them. We hope that by sharing our knowledge on caring for those who care for people living with dementia, we can foster a better understanding of not only what people living with dementia face, but also what carers face on a daily basis. We recognise that caring for someone with dementia can be extremely difficult, however, understanding dementia and supporting those who care for those living with the condition, may raise awareness of the condition by demonstrating that help is available for those caring for people living with dementia as there is hope supporting those living with the condition.

Please join us on our session for the message of HOPE, on; Sunday 26th December 2021 at 6 – 7pm. This was a resounding success and based on the feedback, the team will run this topic again on the date shown below;
